error valet stand

A chair full of clothes? Error grins at this picture, because in a flat position, it has the silhouette of a chair and can be stowed slim. When pulled apart and put down the linear tubular steel furniture becomes an original rack for clothes. And almost a little objet d’art!

MH18 chair

MH 18 stands for a novel type of seatingfurniture, inspired by the well-known inviting Bugholz chairs. It is the first chair made of 3D laser plywood, lasered out of a flat board and then put together. The play between light and charred parts results from the innovative 3D laser technology, which gives the chair ist visual uniqueness. By combining the 18 separate parts the manufacturing process i sput on stage as it were.

samesame für Z am Park

Why is the „Classic“ chair by Horgen Glarus exactly as large as it is? Not longer or smaller? What if it were? How far can one change the form of a comfortable pub chair? Can it be optimized proportionally or can it only be made worse?
A workshop experiment that has intensified our observance of the original.

kesselhaus event

Theme and feature of the whole event is coal as an indispensable source of energy and essential for heating systems in the time of Sulzer.

With the help of a leaflet the guests find themslves in a relaxed room and enjoy the new structure with its various uses. In the bar a gigantic curtain made from single bits of coal reminds the visitor of the fact that the fuel used to be poured from a height of 6m into the room in front of the furnaces. The true heart of the factory, the furnace anf the boilers, were fed with coal aat.nd produced energy. Nowadays this is more abstract. In the shops coal (=German slang for money) is changed into energy (=food and entertainment), and so the boiler house functions in a new way.

chandaila candle

Chandaila is the romansh word for candle. Through playful combination of single candles we create various table ornaments. Always starting from the basic sexangular surfaces, geometrically ordered but also chaotically unarranged compositions can be made. Each candle has ist own tone and stands without candle- holder. Chandaila is hand-cast by fries&zumbühl in a limited number.

lumian prototyp

The playful fitting together of the single elements create free light sculptures to illuminate the room.A metal socket on the table or the floor allows Lumian to grow like branches of a tree. The lighting mood of the individual combination can be varied by means of a dimmer.
